CyanSandwich's News

So, episode 3 of the last of us came out like 2 months ago and I still think about it. Watched it twice in the first few days and felt like I was on the verge of tears for a week straight. I can't think of a single other episode of TV or even movie that had that kind of effect on me. Objectively it's one of the least tragic episodes but it just got me man. Also seeing a fully fleshed out, beautiful, non-stereotyped love story between 2 middle aged/older men is so rare. I'm gay so there's an extra level of appreciation there but most straight people loved the episode too.

Anyway I drew bill and frank. Far from perfect but I do think it's one of my best drawings

Click here to see it. The image below is very cropped

Edit: *Closed*

Working on a short Christmas animation. One ~12yo boy and his parent (I was leaning towards mom but it can be his dad without really changing anything). A few short lines each.

Audition by sending me one of these lines:

-------

Mom/dad: Jimmy, I know it's not quite Christmas yet, but why don't you go ahead and open that gift :)

Jimmy: Woah, a squid game plushie! Thanks mom (or dad)

-------

It's the 15th so time is of the essence :P

I'll PM whoever gets it and update this post.

You might've seen me post this a few times and that's because I AINT STOPPIN til it's done.

Forum post

I'm running a collab where each person draws a single frame (or more if you want) by tracing an image from my pre-rendered "default" animation.

Here's the google drive folder with all the frames.

Choose a frame that hasn't been redrawn or renamed, draw over it, then replace the old file with your new file. Add _yourname to the file (e.g. 00022_cyansandwich).

You can do as many frames as you want, but leave a gap of 5 between each.

Low effort is fine, high effort is welcome

1920x1080 please :)

Another reminder that this exists/introduction to whoever hasn't seen it.

Edit: Keep the resolution at 1920x1080 if you can

The more the merrier and you don't need any animation or drawing skills tbh.

Details here

EDIT: Put your name/tag in the drawing if you want credit.

I made a game for the first time since 2011*. Might be hard to figure out the solution, but brain training is good for your... brain. It's fun trying to beat your times too!

I also uploaded art for the first time in a while:

I hope you all have a beautiful new year

* I mean, I did backgrounds for a game in 2012 but that doesn't count

Oops, haven't submitted anything since 2016.

Well, until now. The last animation I posted was for round 1 of the 2016 summer jams, so here's my entry for round 1 of the 2018 summer jams.

I started this incredibly late, due mostly to procrastination and not having ideas. But I currently intend on doing at least one more, maybe all rounds.

Have a nice day.

Currently trying to think of something for Round 2

I'm also planning on making new music for N G A U C, but if that doesn't pan out, I'll submit something I've already made.

Aside from that, here's a track I uploaded recently
